Darlene Rigsby-Hillis, MTS, Doctoral Student
Minister/Musician-Coach/Author/Speaker/Digital Creator/Entrepreneur/Scholar

Darlene is not just your average individual; she’s a powerhouse of talent and inspiration, constantly pushing the limits of what’s possible. She has come to realize that pursuing what God desires for her often demands stepping outside of her comfort zone, but she embraces this challenge with open arms, knowing that extraordinary blessings await those who are willing to embark on this journey.
Years ago, Darlene felt a profound calling from God—not just to reach the masses, but particularly to uplift and empower women. Guided by the powerful words of Philippians 1:6, which state, "Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ," Darlene has dedicated her life to this mission.
Her academic journey is as impressive as her calling. Darlene earned her Master’s in Theological Studies from Baylor University's George W. Truett Theological Seminary and is now pursuing her Doctor of Ministry Degree in 21st Century Ministry at Anderson University’s Clamp Divinity School in South Carolina.
Darlene views each hardship, trial, and setback not as obstacles but as stepping stones that God uses to prepare her for incredible opportunities. She boldly embraces her purpose, refusing to downplay the destiny God has placed on her life. As a proud, broken vessel, she recognizes the divine treasure she carries within, always remembering: to God be the glory.
Beyond her spiritual and academic pursuits, Darlene is the visionary founder of Darlene Hillis Enterprises. This umbrella organization encompasses her various ministry efforts, including the dynamic Performing Arts Program, Joyful Sounds Unlimited: The Imaginarium for the Performing Arts, The Kenaniah Experience, and The Lighthouse Initiative for Domestic and Sexual Violence.
On top of all her accomplishments, Darlene's heart overflows with pride for her three wonderful children.
Faith Alyce Hillis, 29, shines brightly with her degree in Theater Arts from Sam Houston State University. With a Master of Fine Arts in Theater Youth and Community from the University of Texas at Austin, she aspires to open a School of the Arts dedicated to children with special needs.
Christian Elizabeth Hillis, 28, is another incredible talent. A Sam Houston State University graduate with a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance, she has further honed her skills with a master’s degree in music performance at Redlands University in California. She continues to make her mark as a brilliant flutist and artist, and Darlene couldn’t be prouder.
Darlene’s youngest child, Randon H. Hillis, holds a special place in her heart. Though he tragically passed away just 15 minutes after his premature birth, Darlene made a promise to always keep his memory alive by speaking his name.
In every facet of her life, Darlene exemplifies resilience, determination, and an unwavering faith that inspires everyone around her.
